Originally wanted to knit these as socks, but when I tried them on my hand, they seem to fit ok for mittens, so these will be my first cycling mitts try.
Did 6 pattern repeats befor increasing 1 stitch every other row before the 2nd Stitch on the back needle. Increased up to 9 stitches next to the middle stitch. Put 19 stitches on a holder and casted on 4 additional stitches in the thumb gap.
Aug 28th: Finished first mitten -
did pick up 6 stitches at the gap and decreased to 20 stitches for the thumb, finished off with k1tbl, p1 for 6 rows, bound off with a yarnover bind off.
Did a total of 10 pattern repeats for the main mitten, and a k1tbl, p1 for 6 rows at the top, just ordinary bind off for the top.
