Ein Kreis mit Ärmeln - Weste aus Drops Delight

Diese Weste/Jacke ist eigentlich ein einfacher, rundgestrickter Kreis mit zwei Armschlitzen - die Originalanleitung von Drops sieht allerdings lange Ärmel vor, nicht nur eine ärmellose Weste wie bei mir.

Außerdem verwenden die ein anderes Garn, nämlich die deutlich dickere Drops Verdi. Ich musste allerdings noch irgendwie die 5 Knäul Delight verwursten, die ich im Sale gekauft habe anfang des Jahres.

Zugegeben, die Farben sind hübsch - aber ansonsten werde ich mit dem Garn nicht warm und werde es ganz sicher nicht nochmal kaufen! Zu flusig, ungleichmaessig gesponnen, irgendwie kratzig, nicht zu ribbeln (meine Häkelweste konnte ich wegwerfen, korrigieren mit Ribbeln war nicht, weil das Garn sich permanent verhakt hat und gerissen ist.

Und direkt nach Fertigstellung war ich auch mit diesem Model sehr unglücklich... Allerdings, was soll ich sagen - mittlerweile trag ich sie recht gern! Der Schalkragen wärmt den Nacken gut und die Verschlusslösung mit dem Magnetknopf von hier >> gefällt mir auch sehr gut (die Dinger sind extrem stark, der Magnet hält sogar durch einen Finger hindurch...)

Delight werde ich aber trotzdem nicht mehr kaufen!

A Circle with sleeves - Sleeveless thingy from Drops Delight

After the fiasco with my Delight crocheted bolero from Delight, I swear to never buy this yarn again - however, I already had bought 5 skeins as they were on sale….
So I came across this Drops pattern and was inspired by this project - the pattern is normally for a heavier yarn.
There are berries in all of the colours contained in the yarn, so it qualified for the “Die Beeren sind Los”-KAL in the German Drops group - and as KALs in this group are always a lot of fun, I am in there!
However, I will just knit a circle with slits for the arms and see how far the yarn will take me - my version will for sure be sleeveless or with only small sleeves.
I used nearly a full ball for the centre and started with the second shortly after the arm slits.
Sep. 5th: Finished knitting of the body - hm. Pre-blocking, the edges curl a lot although I did 6 ridges of garter to finish it. Size is ok, but I am not sure what to do for the arms - no “real” sleeves, but cap sleeves or just a few rows of garter stitch? What do you think?

It looses hair like a bird in the Mauser! Let it dry flat on my terasse table - now the ruffle is gone, but I really doubt I will wear this a lot - I really, REALLY REALLY detest this yarn! And the fit/wearability of this thing also is not really what could convince me…. Anybody wants to adopt this thing!?
Sept. 12th Hm - I am wearing it for the first time today - might be not aaaas bad…. The collar is nice and warm in the neck and I closed it with a magnet button.
